West Fork trio earns top-three spots

ACKLEY -- Once again as West Fork has done most of the season, its top three weights have fared well.

This tournament had a twist, however, in that senior 285-pounder Alex Bender, whose 18-3, withdrew from the tournament as a precaution.

West Fork coach Jared Arbegast said he tweaked his foot during practice the night before.

“Bender had an issue (with his foot) from last night that was nagging him, so we pulled him out of today by medical default but I think he’ll be back next week,” Arbegast said. “It will work itself out.”
