West Fork awarded additional STEM funding

West Fork Schools have recently been awarded some additional funding to take their teachers’ and students’ involvement in the STEM world several steps further.

West Fork Curriculum Coordinator Wendy Fullerton applied for the “Pint Size Science Program,” awarded to the school by the North Central Iowa Regional STEM Advisory Board of the Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council, through the Iowa State University Extension Office.

According to a letter from the ISU Extension Office, the board received over 100 applications from teachers, administrators and informal educators in this region alone.

Additionally, West Fork Technology teacher Jennifer Otten applied for the Making STEM Connections grant from the Governor’s STEM Council.
