Weapon charge against Meservey man dismissed

After being sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole as the result of a guilty verdict delivered by a Franklin County District Court jury, Charles Albright, 42, of Meservey — who was ultimately found guilty of Willful Injury Causing Bodily Injury and First-Degree Kidnapping — will no longer have to take the stand once again, as an additional weapon charge against him has been dismissed.

In July, Albright was tried for the abuse of his former live-in girlfriend Kim Hartman, 36. Hartman testified that the incident last year was just one of multiple acts of both emotional and physical abuse Albright had inflicted on her during their approximately two, to two-and-a-half year long relationship.
