Warhawks overcome halftime deficit

SHEFFIELD – Trailing 6-0 at half, West Fork's football team put together a valiant effort to overwhelm visiting Central Springs on Friday, Sept. 1.

The Warhawks were able to overtake the Panthers with 7 minutes, 22 seconds left in the third quarter after a big catch-and-run by Ian Latham for 65 yards led to an Ian Gonzalez nine-yard touchdown.

Gonzalez' two-point conversion run gave coach Eric Gabe's team the lead for good.

The second TD run for Gonzalez and two-point conversion run put it out of reach with 6:40 left in the game.
