Warhawks lose two starters to injury at Pocahontas Area, fall 37-7

POCAHONTAS – Pocahontas Area forced three turnovers after forcing both the West Fork starting running back and quarterback out of the game with injuries in a 34-7 win over the Warhawk football team on Friday, Oct. 10.

Pocahontas effectively shut down the West Fork run game, allowing only six yards on five carries for Tyson Pillard before he was knocked out of the game with a knee injury as the Warhawks finished with a total of 36 ground yards.

The Indians picked off Jarel Arbegast three times, who had stepped in for Collin Arndt after he went out of the game with a broken collarbone. Arndt left the game only about five plays after Pillard left with his injury.
