Warhawks collect post-season honors

GARNER – A pair of West Fork seniors were honored with first team all-Top of Iowa Conference votes, announced last week.

First baseman Kyle Rooney and infielder/pitcher Lukas Wogen were the two honorees for coach Lance Thompson, who announced that 2019 was his final season as head coach of the Warhawks.

Wogen led the Warhawks in batting average at .382 with 42 hits, 13 doubles, four home runs and 40 RBI. Rooney was second at .330, tallying 31 hits, including six doubles, a triple a home run and scored 37 runs.
