Unearned run bites West Fork

SHEFFIELD – The difference in this 4-3 Top of Iowa cross-divisional softball contest was an unearned run late at North Iowa came to Sheffield and topped West Fork on Monday, June 4.

Nonetheless, the Warhawks had their chances to rally in the end.

Coach Abbee Dickman’s team came up with four hits and a walk, but base running errors came back to haunt them in falling to 3-4 overall.

The tying run failed to score when Lauren Trewin stumbled across third base and tried to continue home...
