Tull’s New & Used to close at year’s end

The ringing in of the New Year will mark the end of an era for Sheffield as Tull’s New & Used prepares for its closure.

For 33 years Tull’s New & Used Store has served Sheffield, offering up furniture and other household items. The store was originally brought about by a joint endeavor between Rebecca Tull and her sister, Ruth Redman, who started the business in a building downtown.

“I told her they would outgrow that thing in a few years,” said Rebecca’s husband, Larry Tull.

And they did. Supplying the store with auction items and estate sales, the Tulls quickly expanded to a new building, which has been their location since.
