Thornton Weather Building Now To Be An Apartment

     Last September, Donald Pittman visited the Thornton City Council to introduce himself as the new owner of the building at 300 Main Street.

     According to the minutes of that meeting, Pittman identified himself as being with Sky Warn, a volunteer weather spotting program, and that he is working with the National Weather Service and surrounding County Emergency Management Coordinators.

     Pittman said that he is using grant funding to give the building a complete remodel in order to turn it into a severe weather control center that will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
