Thornton City Council highlights

     It was a quick meeting for the Thornton City Council as they convened for the first time in 2017.

     There were some appointments for this next year and here is what happened:

     Michelle Duff will continue to be city clerk. The Public Works Superintendent will be Tom Janeka, and Public Utilities is Greg Meier.

     The Pioneer Enterprise will still continue to be the paper of record for the town of Thornton.

            To end the night, the budget for the 2017-2018 fiscal year was discussed with some proposals made for the library, fire department and EMT’s.
