Swaledale Council to get new home
The Council approved to purchase of a former bank building as the new City Hall
The Swaledale City Council held their regular meeting on Monday, Feb. 13 at City Hall; here are the highlights:
There were public hearings regarding the purchase of the former First Security Bank building and the city entering into a loan agreement of $10,000 with an interest rate of 3.5 percent. The payments would be made from the general fund for a period of no more than five years.
After the public hearings, a resolution to unanimously approve the purchase of the former bank property was approved for the amount of $15,000.
The Library Board of Trustees President, Katie Pedersen, announced to the Council that a new library director had been hired. Allison Stevick will begin on Feb. 21.
