Superintendent Strike announces resignation

Superintendent Darrin Strike announced his resignation during the West Fork Community School Board meeting on Monday, April 15.

“Serving as the superintendent of the West Fork Community School District has been extremely rewarding,” said Strike “I am proud of the work that we have accomplished together for the benefit of the students that we serve and I wish the district nothing but the best moving forward.”

Strike’s resignation will be effective as of June 30, after which he will be taking on a new job as the regional administrator with the Grant Wood AEA. The board approved his resignation with a 3-2 roll call vote, with board members Mary Beth Sukup and Rob Heimbuch voting against the resignation, after the needed three votes were counted, as a token sign of protest.
