Small fire put out quickly at Dugan’s Supermarket
The Rockwell Fire Department responded to a small fire at Dugan’s Supermarket at about 1:13 p.m. Monday, said fire chief Mark Lowe.
Smoke flowed out of both ends of the locally owned building at 202 4th St. N. It started in the bathroom, and may have been due to a faulty vent fan, Lowe said.
Responders had the situation under control in 15 minutes and used only about 100 gallons of water, he said. A health inspector came to survey the minor damage, and approved its reopening later in the day.
