Rockwell Working To Adjust Elm Rock Regulations

The Rockwell City Council discussed grants, trees, and property lots during their regular meeting on Wednesday, May 20.

     Brandon Shaw with USDA Development visited the council to discuss the USDA's grant program. While Shaw admitted that Rockwell doesn't qualify for full funding for projects, as they are competing for funds with impoverished cities across the nation, there may be enough partial funding available to make it worth sending in a grant application.

     The USDA also offers grants and low interest loans for elderly homeowners to make improvements to their residents, such as installing handicap access or converting first floor rooms into bedrooms for people who can no longer handle stairs.
