Rockwell City Council meets

The proposed town Welcome Sign and the funding for future repair of sidewalks in the community were two of the main topics discussed by the Rockwell City Council at its meeting last Wednesday, Welcome Sign Mayor Michael Flatness noted in the Aug. 21 Council meeting that he had talked with the City Attorney about an agreement for the property for a new welcome sign.

Public Works Director Jay Siefken said last Wednesday that he would meet with the City Attorney to discuss the specific size and location of the sign. Siefken re-emphasized his proposal of using solar lighting for the sign rather than the City having to install its own meter.

Sidewalk repairs At the Aug. 21 meeting, Mayor Flatness asked for any thoughts on how to approach sidewalk repairs.
