Rockwell City Council Meets

The Rockwell City Council met in regular session at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2019. One agenda item, the final “Mayor for a Day” award, was postponed to the next meeting due to schedule conflicts.

Mayor Flatness explained changes in the bid opening process for the storm water project, due to the need for geological boring samples to more accurately determine cost. Jay Siefken shared mapping of the rock depth, and Mayor Flatness stated there will be an addendum to the bid packet, with bids will be in to be opened on Wednesday, May 1st at 10:00 a.m. to be reviewed at the meeting that night.

(Previous reporting contained different information with respect to the project bid-letting, and was in error.)

Billing for the survey of the property for the new city sign was presented, with the council voting to reimburse the property owner $400.00 of the $1500.00 total.
