Rockwell Celebrates 10th Kicken-n-Chicken Weekend

It was a weekend of thrills and spills in Rockwell as the city celebrated the 10th annual Kicken-n-Chicken event.

Sponsored by the Rockwell Chamber of Commerce, the two day event started on Friday with a rodeo presented by Circle C Rodeo Productions out of Alden.

"We had a great attendance for our one night rodeo," said Janelle Nuehring of the Rockwell Chamber of Commerce. "Circle C Rodeo Productions did an outstanding job, providing family fun for all."

Cowboys and cowgirls alike tested their grip against rampaging bulls in a contest to see who could last longest. Freeman Yoder, one of the few cowboys of the evening to beat out the timer, won the Pro Bulls category of the contest with a score of 145. Ally Swanson took the Women's category title with a score of 69.
