River cleanup is May 30

     A river cleanup will be held on the Shellrock River on Saturday, May 30 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The float will begin at Wilkinson Park and end at the Shellrock River Preserve campground. Event volunteers may use canoes or kayaks as they pick up trash they encounter on the float. 

     Gloves and garbage bags will be provided. A limited number of canoes are also available for those that need them. 

     There is no cost for the float, but volunteers are asked to register by calling the Cerro Gordo County Conservation Board at (641) 423-5309.
