Rising Star Internship Program presents survey findings

SHEFFIELD — Members of the Iowa State University Rising Star Internship Program for Region 3 presented their findings Friday evening for a survey they conducted over the summer regarding the Child Care Needs for the town of Sheffield.

The presentation took place at the Emergency Management Services Building in Sheffield.

Iowa State students Emily Leerhoff, Rachel Findling and Samarth Vachhrajani  were the Rising Star Interns who developed the survey. Also on hand at Friday’s meeting to help explain the results was Regional Director Donovan Olson.

According to the interns and Olson, the Rising Stars worked with the Sheffield Bettement Foundation in developing the survey.

The report states that the shortage of child care facilities in the community has had an impact in a number of ways.
