New Sheffield group holds first meeting
he newest community organization in Sheffield, the Sheffield Area Economic Development Group, hosted its first official meeting last week.
In an effort to support local businesses, and encourage community growth, Sheffield City Clerk Katy Flint first approached the city council about the idea of creating a local resource for both Sheffield, and the small businesses in it. After two informal meetings to gauge interest over the past several weeks, the group officially formed and held its first formal meeting on July 11.
