New fire chief
The Rockwell Fire Department has a new Fire Chief. Mark Lowe, who has served on the fire department since 2000, will take over from Ken Nielsen, who has been the fire chief for nearly two years.
Lowe has lived in Rockwell since 1998 with his wife, Staci, and works as a control room operator at Alliant Energy's emery generation station in Clear Lake.
"It is an honor to be selected as chief as we have nineteen other talented and knowledgeable individuals on Rockwell's volunteer Fire Department," wrote Lowe. "It is a brotherhood like none other, a family within families, and I have grateful to be a part of it."
