Meservey gains new clerk

Sue Entner, of Clear Lake, has taken over as the new city clerk for Meservey.

Starting at the end of June, Entner began her new role handling city affairs. The position was modified for her to be able to predominantly work remotely, with her coming into town several times a week to meet with Mayor Richard Miller, and attend council meetings as needed.

Entner, who was born and raised in Miami, has lived in Clear Lake for the last 17 years. Before becoming city clerk, she worked in administration, customer service and sales support at Iowa PowderCraft, a powder coating company in Clear Lake. She ultimately left that position in order to be more available to help her husband Tim with his business, Sunset Bay Marina, in Clear Lake. And when she found the position as Meservey’s city clerk — with its flexible work schedule — it was a good fit.
