Meet the Candidate: Neiderbach campaign visits Cerro Gordo County

Jon Neiderbach, of Windsor Heights, traveled to Cerro Gordo County last weekend as part of his run for Iowa Governor.

The Democratic gubernatorial candidate announced his campaign in February, and traveled to First Congregational United Church of Christ in Mason City on May 12 to discuss his platform with area residents.

Neiderbach moved from New York to Iowa 43 years ago to attend Grinnell College. After graduating, he studied at the University of Oregon Law School, and still runs a small law firm where he works with people just above the income limit for legal aid.

In the past, Neiderbach worked for the Iowa Legislative Fiscal Bureau for 14 years, where he provided budget and policy analysis for Iowa legislators. He went on to work for the Iowa Department of Human Services for 15 years. His other involvement includes a four-year term with the Des Moines School Board, and participation with regional and State PTA and the Polk-Des Moines Taxpayers Association.
