H-D, West Fork track girls clear different hurdles

HAMPTON – There are literal and figurative hurdles to pass.

For West Fork freshman Makia Fessler, those literal hurdles she passes fairly quickly.

Hers was the only area win at the Lady Bulldog Classic on Friday, April 5 in the 400-meter hurdles, a rather quick time of 1 minute, 12.75 seconds that left her a little queasy afterward.

“I was dying, I couldn’t see straight,” Fessler admitted...
