Franklin County general election results

Election results are in for Franklin County, putting an end to the campaign season for another year.

For local county races, the ballot was entirely uncompetitive. County Supervisors Michael Nolte and Gary McVicker, County Treasurer Chad Murray, County Recorder Toni Wilkinson, and County Attorney Brent Symens were all re-elected without challenge while appointed Sheriff Aaron Dodd became elected Sheriff Aaron Dodd.

At the state level, State Representative Linda Upmeyer ran unchallenged on the ballot and won her ninth term in office at the state house.

In contrast, Democratic State Senator Amanda Ragan for District 27 ran a hotly contested race against Republican challenger Shannon Latham. Ragan narrowly defended her seat against Latham with a margin of less than 500 votes, receiving 50.92% of the vote compared to Latham’s 49.02%.
