Forbes named editor of the Hampton Chronicle

Greg Forbes, the news editor of the Eclipse News-Review in Parkersburg has accepted the editor position for the Hampton Chronicle. He begins his duties in Hampton on Tuesday, Nov. 28.

Forbes, an Iowa native with experience at both weekly and daily newspapers is joining the staff of the Chronicle after spending the past eight months in Parkersburg.

“Greg has proven to be an exceptionally good journalist in his time in Parkersburg,” said Ryan Harvey, publisher of the Hampton Chronicle. “I’m really happy that Greg accepted the opportunity. I believe he’ll do a phenomenal job. His experience, personality and dedication to his craft has shown me he is ready to take on this challenge.”

Prior to his time in Parkersburg he served as an education reporter at The Sioux City Journal.
