Drainage tile worries

The Thornton City Council had a long discussion about drainage tile with property owners at their regular meeting on Monday night.

There had been issues with drainage tiles on Sunnyside Lane in Thornton, and it was first decided that the drainage portion on the town’s easement was working properly, so it would have to be fixed at the owner’s expense.

Residents concerned with that decision were present at the Council meeting to voice that concern.

One resident wanted an explanation of how the Council came to that decision after they found it broke under city property. Another questioned why the Council didn’t consider the storm sewer infrastructure.
