COVID-19 impacts Sheffield, Rockwell area

The concern about COVID-19 has resulted in a number of adjustments in the Sheffield and Rockwell area.

Here are a few of the changes:

Sheffield

The West Fork School District will be closed through Sunday, April 12. More information will be coming regarding the availability of food/meals during the closure. For additional information, please call or email the school. The Sheffield Fire Department Fish Fry has been canceled.

West Fork Wharf is open from 4-8 p.m. Monday-Saturday for take-out orders. In-town delivery by Grant Nuehring in Sheffield is available. Payment should be by cash or check. For more information, call 641-892-1068.

When it comes to business at City Hall, call 641-892-4718 rather than visit in person. Use the drop slot for bill payments. No soliciting is permitted.

Forever Young is closing the store to in-store shopping only. For more information, call 641-583-1106.

Rockwell

Jonesy’s Stop n Shop is open as normal for take-out orders. Customers should call 641-822-4710 with their pizza or chicken orders to minimize their time in the store.

The Rockwell Legion is closed until further notice.

The Rockwell Public Library is closed until further notice.

The Rockwell Community Nursing Home is not accepting visitors for now. All Senior Citizens gatherings at the Senior Center are discontinued.

Irish Fest at the Sacred Heart Parish has been postponed until a later date.
