Cerro Gordo County residents invited to forum

The law enforcement of Cerro Gordo County invites local residents to attend the Cerro Gordo County S.A.L.T. Forum (Seniors and Law Enforcement Together).

The program will consist of law enforcement updates, updates from the Elderbridge Agency on Aging, and presentations from the Kinney Pioneer Museum and World Trade Center Steel by the Clear Lake Fire Department.

There will be several other agencies involved, with a handful of door prizes offered.

The forum also participates in the Drug Take Me Back Program, which encourages attendees to bring their outdated or no longer used prescription medications for proper disposal.

A free lunch is provided courtesy of Smithfield Foods, Clear Lake and Mason City Fareways, Michael’s Cookies of Clear Lake, Nora Springs Assisted Living and Pepsi Beverages Company.

The program will be held on Thursday, April 26, at 10 a.m. in the Mason City Grace Church. Agency booths open at 8:30 a.m., and the program ends at noon. Grace Church: 440 North Illinois Avenue. West side of church, entrance E.
